For ten years, the Countdown Public Art Project has brought people together to create pebble mosaic public artworks that honour those affected by gender-based violence and inspire collective action toward safer communities.
This year, we're returning to the Countdown monuments in Killaloe, Pikwàkanagàn, and Eganville—and inviting community members to connect them through movement.
What is Countdown Moves?
Countdown Moves is a series of community journeys by paddle, walking and rolling that connect Countdown pebble mosaic monuments and communities across the Ottawa Valley.
Whether you join for one section or an entire route, you'll become part of a living artwork collective action created through movement, conversation, creativity, and community.
Gather a Team
Countdown Moves is an invitation to participate together.
Invite your family, friends, neighbours, coworkers, walking group, or community organization. Create a team and choose the journey that feels right for you.
Some teams may paddle. Others may walk or roll. Some may join for an hour, while others complete an entire route.
Every journey—and every participant—matters.
