Join us for a summer of art-making workshops, a 35 km community journey, and concerts in the park as part of the Countdown Public Art Project. There are many ways to participate in Countdown!
Countdown Creates
These hands-on art-making workshops invite community members to create, connect, and contribute directly to Countdown’s vision, transforming collective creativity into shared action towards building safer communities.
Pebble Mosaic Workshops
- Saturday, June 13, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Killaloe Pathways Park, Killaloe, ON (outdoors) - Saturday, August 15, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Eganville, ON (indoors)
In these workshops, we create small pebble mosaic “stepping stones” to keep, gift, or contribute to a Countdown monument in a public space.
Printmaking Workshops
- Saturday, July 4 & 25, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Golden Lake, ON (indoors) - Saturday, September 12, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Eganville, ON (indoors)
In these monoprinting workshops, we create banners for Countdown Moves and Countdown Live, the Mobile Campaign and concerts. Monoprinting is a simple printmaking method that creates one-of-a-kind images using layered colour and texture.
Tie-Dye Workshop
- Sunday, August 9, 2026 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
Killaloe Craft & Community Fair, Killaloe, ON (outdoors)
In this tie-dye workshop, we create banners for Countdown Moves and Countdown Live, the Mobile Campaign and concerts. Tie-dye is a simple fabric dyeing technique: folding, binding, and applying dye to create vibrant patterns.
Singing Workshops
- Wednesdays, August 12 & 26; September 9 & 16, 2026 | 6:00–8:30 PM
Killaloe, ON (indoors)
In these singing workshops, we will learn and rehearse songs. Participants will have a choice to perform in a community ensemble as part of the Eganville Finale Concert on September 20, 2026.
