ReDefine Arts is inviting older adults in the Killaloe, Ontario area to participate in Beloved Remembered, a new storytelling and handmade book arts project that celebrates older adults as storytellers, keepers of community history, and vital contributors to the cultural life of the region.

Part of the Killaloe Living Memory initiative, Beloved Remembered offers a welcoming series of creative workshops where participants transform personal stories into handmade books through conversation, creativity, and shared making. Together, they will reflect on the people, places, traditions, and experiences that have shaped their lives, creating lasting keepsakes to share with family, friends, and future generations.

The series includes seven free workshops featuring storytelling circles, guided writing, handmade accordion bookmaking, and optional audio recording. No artistic experience is necessary, and all materials are provided.

Workshops will take place in Killaloe, Ontario from October 2026 to January 2027. The project concludes with the Beloved Remembered Community Feast and Exhibition on February 19, 2027, where participants may choose to share their handmade books, stories, and recordings with family, friends, neighbours, and the wider community.

The project is presented by ReDefine Arts in partnership with the Community Resource Centre – Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) and Barry's Bay and Area Home Support, with project funding provided by the Government of Ontario through the Seniors Community Grant Program.
