Beloved Remembered

Every person carries stories.

Some are shared often. Others have been waiting for the right moment to be told.

Beloved Remembered creates welcoming spaces where older adults gather to explore storytelling, creativity, and personal history through handmade book arts and community conversation.

Together, participants reflect on the people, places, traditions, and experiences that have shaped their lives while creating beautiful handmade accordion books—lasting keepsakes that can be shared with family, friends, and future generations.

Participants also have the option of recording a personal story as part of the project.
At its heart, Beloved Remembered celebrates older adults as storytellers, artists, and keepers of community history whose experiences continue to enrich the cultural life of our communities.

The Beloved Remembered program will run from October 2026 to February 2027, and will include a handmade book-making workshop series and conclude with an exhibition and community feast.

Beloved Remembered is presented by ReDefine Arts in partnership with the Community Resource Centre – Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) and Barry's Bay and Area Home Support.
