Tending the Roots, hosted by Central Toronto Youth Services (CTYS), is a national program that fosters connection and support between professionals serving 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and families. Tending the Roots aims to pool resources and knowledge to support necessary changes inside families and across communities, and provide online opportunities for knowledge sharing, peer mentorship, co-learning, and cross-sector advocacy.

ReDefine Arts and Central Toronto Youth Services co-devised Tending the Roots: Postcards of Connection designed to nurture and build affinities between advocates and activists supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and families across Turtle Island.

Tending the Roots: Postcards of Connection is a multi-disciplinary arts project that features an online arts-based workshop series and a Postcard Activity Kit that will facilitate the creation of postcard art that will be shared with Tending the Roots  members coast to coast.

Working with postcards created by Tending the Roots contributors, lead artists Anna Camilleri and Tristan R. Whiston, will create videos, audio compositions and graphic collages that will be featured on the Tending the Roots website.
