Artists in residence Anna Camilleri and Tristan R. Whiston focused their research on interactive and community-engaged arts practices. Their work at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus included guest presentations in Arts, Culture and Media classes, participation in the Hart House Human Library Project, office hours open to all students, staff and faculty to foster critical engagement, as well as the exhibition of Where There is Smoke at Gallery 1265.
Anna and Tristan worked closely with professor Patricia Lamie, devising and leading creative laboratories and a dramaturgical process for Social Practice Performance students that culminated in the public presentation of a new work entitled Saiph Space, in the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre. Saiph Space included original audio compositions, live performance, and audience interaction.
